JMTE “Cone Crushers” Win 2021 Big Brothers Big Sisters Virtual Bowling For Kid’s Sake Annual Fundraiser

Giving back to the communities we serve has been a part of JMTE’s DNA since opening its Waynesville office in 2010.  Each year Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 18-county Western North Carolina region hosts its largest annual fundraiser, Bowling For Kid’s Sake.  Because of the pandemic, this year’s event took the form of virtual bowling where teams of 4 or more individuals created and videoed their own unique bowling event.  JMTE team members, dressed in their highway safety vests, used a Zorb (large inflated clear plastic ball that holds a full-size adult) and several large orange highway safety barrels self-propelling the Zorb toward the stacked barrels.  Check out the video which tied for 1st place with another team from Cashiers, NC.  The event was characterized by uncontrolled laughter, gutter balls, falling barrels, and curious spectators at the Waynesville Recreation Center.
